Training  "Leadership in Product Innovation":

Leadership and organization make the difference!

High investments are done before the introduction of a new product. From then it can take years till the break-even point is reached, let alone financial targets as Gross Margin or Operating Profit.

Achieving short Time to Market and crossing the sales chasm are therefor crucial for success. Click graph for an illustration. This is what you will learn in this course.

But how do you achieve speed and business acumen in your innovation projects? There are so many gurus, buzz words and methodologies that claim to be the silver bullet for delivering better products faster to the market. Each has its core value, sometimes however more time is spent to prove one’s own right than to smartly combine the principles in an overall, business driven framework. And the latter you will learn!

This course gives a holistic and integral view on product innovation with focus on leadership and organization. It is built around a real-life product innovation case and covers the total flow from ideation to business.

Explained will be how to make sound decisions using a framework with trade off rules, rather than to fall into the activity trap and sub optimize on topics that distract the team from the goal. You will learn how to organize this sustainable into the project and your total program.

The teachers have a pragmatic and no-nonsense approach and make things not unnecessarily complicated. They will share with you what works and what not. They have many years experience from the project trenches (in R&D, production, service innovation, product marketing and sales) in the Netherlands, the USA and Germany. Many best practices from High Tech, Automotive, MedTech and Biotech will be shared with you.
