Organizational Design
for Tech Innovation

High investments are made before the launch of a tech innovation. From then it can take several years till the break-even point is reached, not to mention financial targets. Achieving short Time to Business (TTB) is therefore crucial for success. Organizational design plays a pivotal role in achieving Time to Business.

Goal of this course: Structure and culture for tech innovation.

Did you know that 75% of innovation projects fail, never seeing the light of day or benefiting the company? This is largely due to inadequate leadership, cultural issues, and organizational misalignment. Simply having great ideas and technology isn't sufficient!

What you will learn in this pragmatic course:

  • A holistic and integral view on product innovation.
  • How to implement the right organizational structure, depending on the size of the organization.
  • How to implement an adequate program organization for innovation, even when the functional organization can’t be changed and is a given.
  • To enable the innovation organization to work autonomously and connected without escalating continuously to senior management.
  • How to develop the right culture in the tech space, focusing on teams, leadership, and collaboration to get things done
  • How to get flow and speed by deploying strategy and applying heartbeat.
  • Overview and common sense in the overload of buzz words and methodologies that claim to be the silver bullet.

Bert van Appeven
